I am excited to announce that I am a candidate for the McKinney City Council At-Large seat.
My family and I love McKinney. While it’s a wonderful place to live and work, our city is facing many challenges in the years ahead, from rising property values to increased traffic and congestion due to our tremendous growth. I earnestly believe my over two decades of public policy and finance experience will be an asset to the council and the citizens of McKinney.
My life’s verse is Colossians 3:23-24 and it aptly describes my outlook on politics and really every aspect of life: “And whatever you do, do it heartily, as to the Lord and not to men, knowing that from the Lord you will receive the reward of the inheritance; for you serve the Lord Christ.” I believe it is my duty and privilege to be engaged in this community and to serve others with integrity and diligence.
Should I be blessed to be elected to this seat, I will never waiver in my commitment and resolve to uphold limited government principles and sound fiscal responsibility. I will act with respect and dignity toward all others and differing viewpoints and will make a point of listening to the citizens of our great community before casting votes on council, but I will not hesitate to defend my principles and promote limited government ideals.
Literally every vote counts in local elections, so I am asking for your support and your vote! Early endorsements are critical to success, so I’d also love to hear from those of you who already know me and my beliefs and are willing to lend your name in support of my candidacy. For those who do not, I would welcome the opportunity to speak with you and earn your support. Thank you very much for your interest in my candidacy.
